This book is a collection of restaurant style recipes from Yotam’s restaurant NOPI resulting in them being more involved than others. Most of the recipes are comprised of multiple elements to be brought together only at the end as a complete dish; each element requiring their own preparation. The recipes in the book are doable at home, and the results delicious.
Although I said the recipes are complex, it’s fun to take some of the individual components of a dish and add them to every day meals at home. Today I was making grilled chicken which I would normally make a simple tzatziki sauce, but I remembered that Yotam’s “Persian love rice with burnt butter tzatziki” recipe and decided to give it a try.
This single component within a more complex dish was rather simple, taking no more than 15 minutes to make. Normally I would make tzatziki sauce with cucumber and dill, but this recipe had mint, chive, zucchini, and burnt butter. The end result was delightful.
